GABBY SALAZAR

Gabby Salazar has proven that talent is the most important thing to make it on stage. At 16, she joined the Grupo de Teatro Indigo family and debuted in her first theater performance. Since then, she has thrived both on and off the stage.

Gabby is a creative mind with an activist soul who loves to express her talents to empower others; she always strives to leave a positive impact on her community.

This is a woman who wears many hats with enthusiasm! Currently Gabby is an actress with Grupo de Teatro Indigo and Community Outreach Coordinator, but she is also one of the hosts and creators of the radio show Tercera Llamada on GQ Radio, where she uses the platform to promote art, culture, and mental health. She is an active mental health advocate who won a grant from the City of Houston Health Department to co-create the It’s Okay to Not Be Okay campaign, which seeks to raise awareness about mental health and connect the community with available resources.

With an extensive background in real estate and construction, Gabby is working towards a degree in Construction Management at the University of Houston. However, she uses her blog Express the Gabbiness to free her mind, heart, and soul by writing pieces about art, culture, mental health, everyday life, and more.

Gabby is a charismatic, self-directed, and passionate individual who adds value to any project that comes her way. Her love for the arts and social action inspire her to think outside the box and continually find ways to serve the community.
