Domingo Banda is a journalist and photographer with more than 13 years of experience in the local and national media. He focuses on the Latin entertainment, but his job has also given him the opportunity to do coverage of photojournalism in political, sports, and community and social events.
In the public relations world he has worked with local theater group, Grupo de Teatro Indigo, marketing and promoting all their plays, he is also a founder of this organization.
He is cofounder of Dos Caras Entertainment, an agency that works with local talent and various artistic projects. He worked for six years as Entertainment Editor with SemanaNews, the largest Spanish newspaper in the city of Houston.
His work has also been exposed in other publications, such as Sucesos from Houston, Revista Más in Chicago, Estrenos in Los Ángeles, Revista Expresión in South Texas, La Prensa from San Antonio, People en Español; and in important internet sites: HoyDallas.com y LatinGossip.com.
He has also worked as a freelance writer for other publications, and was a reporter of local television show, “Area Zero”. He was part of the team of journalists hosting the radio show “Semana Al Aire” at the ESPN local station.
As a journalist he has had the opportunity to interview famous international personalities in the entertainment world: Enrique Iglesias, Jennifer Lopez, Kiss, Gloria Estefan, Thalia, Paulina Rubio, George Lopez, Sofia Vergara, Eugenio Derbez, Michael Peña, Roselyn Sánchez, Marco Antonio Solis, Los Tigres del Norte, Gloria Trevi, Cristina, Aracely Arambula, Tina Knowles, and the late Jenni Rivera.
As a photographer he has had the opportunity to photograph performances in concert of various singers: Beyoncé, Pitbull, Enrique Iglesias, Ricky Martin, Lady Gaga, Jennifer López, Gloria Estefan, Alejandro Fernández, Thalía, Vicente Fernández, Paulina Rubio, Joan Sebastian, Marc Anthony, Chayanne, Lila Downs, to name a few.
He also has experience photographing the red carpet for several events such as Latin Grammy, Latin Billboard Awars, at the presentation of the Latin version of The Voice for Kids, among others.
In the political world he has had the opportunity of photographing important people: Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton, Wendy Davis (state senator and candidate to Texas Governor), Rick Perry (Governor of Texas), Annise Parker (Houston Mayor), former Mexican President Vicente Fox.
In sports: boxer Saúl “el canelo” Álvarez, soccer player Javier Hernández “Chicharito”, boxer Lulio Cesar Chávez Jr., Soccer national teams: Mexico, El Salvador, United States, Honduras, Ecuador, Haiti, Nigeria and many more, and also covered the International Grand Prix racing.
He has also conducted photo sessions for artists such as Leslie Grace, Larry Hernández, Roberto Tapia, Pee Wee, Diana Reyes, Adamari López, 3BallMty, Kuno Becker, as well as a lot of our local personalities.
Since 2016, he joined local tv show Adriana En Complicidad, presented and produced by Emmy winner journalist Adriana Calhoon. Recently along with her launched on line tv channel ACMEDIATV.COM a digital platform as a new way to make television. He is general producer and reporter for the show producer at their own studios AC Media Studios.
