GABBY SALAZAR-OLD VERSION

Gabby Salazar has shown that talent is the most important thing to be imposed on stage. At age 16, she joined the Grupo de Teatro Indigo family and debuted in her first theatrical performance.  Since then, she has been thriving both on and off stage.

Gabby is a creative mind with an activist soul who loves to express her talents in order to empower others; she always strives to leave a positive impact in her community.

This is a woman who enthusiastically  wears many hats! Gabby is currently an actress with Grupo de Teatro Índigo as well as the Community Outreach Coordinator, but she is also one of the hosts and creators of the radio show Tercera Llamada on GQ Radio, where she uses the platform to promote art, culture and mental health. She is an active Mental Health advocate that has won a grant from the City of Houston’s Health Department to co-create the campaign It’s Okay to Not Be Okay looking to raise mental health awareness and to connect the community to the resources available.

With an extensive background in real estate and construction, Gabby is working towards a Construction Management degree at the University of Houston. However, she uses her blog Express the Gabbiness to free her mind, heart and soul through writing works about art, culture, mental health, day to day life and more.

Gabby is a charismatic, self-driven and passionate individual who adds value to any project that comes her way. Her love for the arts and social action inspire her to think outside the box and continuously find ways to serve the community.
